Poker Players Alliance rally against daft Washington law

DaftLawThose plucky bastards of the Poker Players Alliance are planning a rally outside the Washington State Supreme Court in support of Lee Rousso’s testimony on May 27th. Rousso is trying to strike down a state law that makes playing online poker a Class C felony, putting it on par with possession of heroin or child pornography. Despite the preposterous nature of such a comparison, Rousso is actually challenging the law based on its incompatibility with the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Regardless of Rousso’s approach, if the state supreme court justices can’t recognize a daft law when they see one, then they must be Class A assholes. Read more.
