The decision by the state of Kentucky to file a fresh lawsuit against Full Tilt Poker is apparently based on a century-old statute that says anyone who loses money in an illegal game is entitled to recover triple the amount of their losses. But, and here’s where the state of Kentucky comes in, six months after the loss has occurred, a spouse, other family member or anyone else can sue for those treble damages.
