Following Canada’s victory over the U.S. in Men’s Olympic Hockey, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs lived up to his end of the wager he’d struck with his Canadian counterpart, Dimitri Soudas, by donning a Canadian hockey jersey during a Friday press conference. Does this mean the U.S. will now honor other wagers they’ve lost, such as WTO disputes? Considering Gibbs somewhat welshed by doffing the Canuck jersey after only five minutes to reveal a U.S. jersey underneath, we’re not hopeful. Read more.
