As electronic card shuffling machines become more prevalent at land-based casinos, questions are being raised as to whether these machines could be manipulated to tip the statistical odds in favor of the house. Interestingly, in the US, state regulatory bodies are empowered to ensure the devices are on the up-and-up, but casinos on cruise ships aren’t subject to any kind of oversight whatsoever.
