That Governor Bob Riley’s all heart. He’s gone out of his way to assist Alabama workers who lost their jobs when the casino operators closed down, by sending a Rapid Response Team to help them out with things like filing for compensation, seeing to their health insurance needs and providing them with job training.
Only thing is, the reason they are unemployed in the first place is because the casinos closed down to pre-empt a raid by Riley’s Task Force On Gambling.
It’s a bit like taking someone to sign on for social accommodation after burning their house down. Read more.
