Pinball: scourge of a nation?

More than half a century back, New York mayor Fiorello La Guardia ran a crusade against pinball, claiming the machines robbed the “pockets of school children in the form of nickels and dimes given them as lunch money.” Trust me, in another half-century, those hysterical “click your mouse and lose your house” rants against online gambling are going to sound just as quaint.
