The second edition of the American Poker Conference will feature key speakers such as iBus Media’s Matthew Parvis, iGaming Consultant John Caldwell, and World Series of Poker’s main man Nolan Dalla.
The second edition of the American Poker Conference begins on Friday 25 February at 9 am sharp.
The salubrious surroundings of the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills will roll out the red carpet. Once the conference is done and dusted, we will have the Global Poker League (GPL) Draft and the American Poker Awards (APA).
It promises to be a very exciting day indeed.
Now back to that conference.
The timeline of events looks a little something like this:
Those fortunate enough to be invited will meet up at 8.30 am for a spot of croissants and coffee. At 9 am there will be a 30-minute discussion on the speedy progress made by the eSports industry and what poker could learn from that.
A quick pee break will be followed by another 30-minute debate, this time centering on what the poker industry can do to attract more women to the game. Another 15-minutes rest, then we have the first panel of the day. It carries the title Media: does the future of poker media have to be based on players’ self-marketing & starification? iBus Media’s Matthew Parvis will take on the role of panel moderator, and Adam Schwartz (2+2), Donnie Peters (PokerNews), Lance Bradley (PocketFives), and a mystery player will chew the fat around the edges of that one.
The final panel of the day is scheduled for 11:30-12:15 and it carries the title: Players’ panel: how to improve collective initiatives among the players community to efficiently impact the industry. There is no indication on the website as to whom will be speaking in that one.
