Annie Duke hosts poker tourney for Life Rolls On Foundation

Poker legend Annie Duke and Life Rolls On (LRO) charity foundation founder Jesse Billauer have teamed together to host “A Night of Poker” charity tournament benefiting the Life Rolls On Foundation.

The tournament will be held at Hustler Casino in Gardena, CA on May 7th. There are excellent prizes to be had in this charity event. The first place winner of the no-limit Texas Hold’em tournament will earn a $10,000 seat at the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event, while players at the final table will also take home great prizes. Additionally, all players will receive limited-edition tournament t-shirts and hats, courtesy of Power106.

The LRO Foundation certainly picked the right person to host their charity poker night. Annie Duke is well known for her charity work. Alongside actor Don Cheadle, Annie Duke founded Ante Up For Africa in 2007 and has been a part of countless charity events raising money for children and other noble causes.

Annually over 6,700 youth incur a spinal cord injury. Tens of thousands more currently live with such an injury. Life Rolls On, a subsidiary of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people affected by spinal cord injury and utilizes action sports as a platform to inspire infinite possibilities despite paralysis.

Participants looking to enter the tournament must register by April 15th to receive the $200 buy-in rate and any applicants after April 15th, will pay a buy-in rate of $225.
