PartyPoker’s slumping revenues part of a worrying trend

PartyPoker execs are blaming its revenue decline on people turning their attention away from the felts to focus on World Cup action (although Bodog Europe chief Patrik Selin would suggest the execs would be better off blaming the man in the mirror). The ‘Blame FIFA’ argument would make a lot more sense if online poker hadn’t witnessed overall weekly declines in 11 of the last 14 weeks, while the World Cup has only been a going concern for the past month or so.
