It seems like only about two-and-a-half months ago we were singing the praises of Bwin for announcing a 13% rise in gross gaming revenues in Q4 2009. But then that’s because it was. Those results were largely thanks to the Austrian firm’s acquisition of thriving Italian operator Gioco Digitale the previous September. As it turns out Q1 results for this year aren’t too shoddy either, with gross poker revenues up 22.4%. Apparently, it’s all down to the performance of their thriving Italian poker network, Gioco Digitale. Anyone see a pattern developing here? Read more.
