    Apparently you didn't actually read the story, because it was busted by Indiana State Excise Police, not the sheriff's department. Excise is the enforcement arm of Indiana's alcohol and tobacco commission. Pretty much all that agency does is bust underage drinkers (I went to college in Indiana) and illegal gambling investigations. From the agency's Web site: “Our mission is to provide quality service and to protect the morals and welfare of the people of the State of Indiana.”

    That said, I agree that the Super Bowl pool bust was ridiculous. But don't go slamming the sheriff and (in my opinion) actual law enforcement agencies when the bust was done by the morale police.
