Cockfighting ring broken up
I don’t know how this is still happening but yet another cockfighting ring has been broken up. This weekend 50 police officers raided a barn in Earlville, Illinois and arrested the host, 51-year-old Rudolfo Villanueva, as well as several spectators. All of the men face charges as both hosting and betting on cockfights are illegal in the state of Illinois. The host could face more serious charges as it appears he may have been using the money from the ring to fund drug and weapons trafficking operations. Read more…
