The Story

Online gambling giant The Stars Group can attribute its recent gains for the first quarter of the year to its lucky stars.

The Stars Group recorded double-digit gains.

The Toronto-listed company announced that its overall revenue grew by 24% to US$393m in the three months ending March 31. Adjusted earnings rose 16% to $175m, while actual net earnings improved 13% to $74.3m. TSG attributed these gains to dramatic currency exchange fluctuations and its acquisition of William Hill Australia.
