Buenos Aires Gov. María Eugenia Vidal is stepping up her administration's campaign to keep a tight lid on gambling by ordering the closure of three casinos in her province. |
|||||
Prior to the closures, Buenos Aires had 12 casinos and 46 bingo halls. |
|||||
In justifying her move to shut down the casinos, Vidal claimed that gaming had failed to boost tourism. The governor also debunked claims that she is favoring illegal gambling operations. |
