Bitcoin.com chief executive Roger Ver has issued a $1 million challenge to F2Pool owner Wang Chun, who said that Bitcoin Cash “will be short-lived”.

Ver and Wang were part of a roundtable discussion at the Bitkan-hosted 2017 Shape the Future Blockchain Global Summit, where they debated on the benefits of using of Bitcoin Cash versus the original Bitcoin. Wang said that Bitcoin Cash will likely be abandoned when another hard fork is expected to happen by November.

Ver–who was also known as “Bitcoin Jesus” and a fan of Bitcoin Cash–did not like Wang's comment and then issued a bet. “How short-lived do you think Bitcoin Cash will be and would you be interested in making a wager about that?” Ver asked. “I'd like to bet $1 million on that and I’ll give you two-year time frame”.

He said that Bitcoin Cash is closer to the original vision of Bitcoin which features a true decentralized, peer-to-peer electronic cash with more efficient transaction capacity. Ver also added that it is the solution to Bitcoin’s scaling problem.
