For a technology business looking to raise growth capital and scale, investment can
come from anywhere in the world, but London is a great place to be located.

The Story

Jonny Ferrari, professional wrestling manager turned online gambling operator, may taste the wrath of government officials in Cambodia whom he described as "corrupt".

Oh, boy. Ferrari's on fire!

Ferrari's fiery remarks were part of a Phnom Penh Post article which gauged the local gaming industry's reaction to China's ongoing crackdown on foreign casino operators. In the said article, Finance Industry Department deputy director Ros Phirun said that the government has yet to see any negative feedback from China "and don't expect to see much".

Then he said what?!

He said that Cambodia had benefited from Beijing's efforts to restrict junket activity in Macau and that Cambodia would continue to benefit "as long as regulations are not established" to restrict junket activity. He should have just stopped there yet he lashed out against the Cambodian government by saying that Cambodia won't have a problem as it is "corrupt and everything and everyone can be bought in gaming".

That was appalling.

The consequences of Ferrari's remarks can be the subject of prop betting. It's either he will be diagnosed with a severe foot-in-mouth disease or he would have to say goodbye to his online gambling license.

Takeaway

When you don't have anything nice to say, especially when you are in the mercy of other people, it's better to just stay quiet.
