The Tribal Problem Gambling Awareness Conference – Four Directions will be on October 10-13 2011 at the Tulalip Resort in Tulalip, Washington. The  conference has been successful the past two years that interest in the event continues to grow.

The Tulalip Tribes, who host the Tribal Problem Gambling Awareness Conference, are successors in interest to the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skokomish, and other allied tribes and bands signatory the 1855 Treaty of Point Elliot. Tulalip Tribes provide many services to their members including preschool, higher education assistance, health and dental clinics, a pharmacy, a state-licensed chemical dependency recovery program, senior retirement home and cultural activities.

Coordinating with the Tribal Problem Gambling Awareness Conference – Four Directions is the Evergreen Council on Problem Gaming. The Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling is dedicated to increasing public awareness of problem gambling, expanding the availability of services for problem gamblers and their families, and encouraging research and programs for prevention and education.

The Tribal Problem Gambling Awareness Conference – Four Directions will expand your knowledge on clinical and behavioral health, family support, prevention and outreach issues and responsible gaming programs and policies.

The conference hopes to bring together their tribal council leaders, behavioral health directors and counselors, education experts , and families to support each other with knowledge on health issues, addictions, and financial and safety concerns that affect their community.
