As far as destinations for a short getaway go there are not many places that will beat the Spanish capital, Madrid. It’s hardly to anyone’s amazement that this is one of the stops that the iGB Affiliate Conference tour takes in, the fact it’s during the hustle and bustle of conference season even less of a turn-up.

Falling on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th November, iGB España aims to provide attendees the chance to reach millions of potential customers in the Spanish-speaking world of Iberia and Latin America. Held at the Melia Avenida America Hotel in the heart of the capital the best part about it all, and like other iGB conferences, is that affiliates go free.

Why attend this event in particular though?

Apart from the clement weather and the fact that it’s perfectly acceptable to sleep in the afternoon, there are plenty of reasons. The conference will help you to secure your brand’s presence in an area of 400+ million Hispanic speakers and a market worth an estimated €350million.

The conference schedule itself begins on the Thursday preceding the start, registration being followed by the welcome drinks at the Piano Lounge in the same hotel that is hosting the event – so you needn’t even move. Just park yourself in the bar and enjoy a few tapas and Mojitos.

Early at 9am, the exhibition floor opens giving you the chance to see what currently exists in the Hispanic market and what to expect should you want to enter in the future.

In terms of the conference, Manu Casals, the chair of the entire expo, will give a short welcome before it’s on to the real business of the day. First up will be discussion on the current state of affairs in Spain, where regulations stand, and what this will mean for any businesses looking to enter. After this, the affiliate market will be touched upon, looking at how to build lasting relationships in the Spanish market.

Morning refreshments at 1pm are followed by a short seminar on SEO that brings us up to lunch, and an invaluable chance to network amongst you fellow delegates.

The afternoon’s focus points include the importance of social networking and how to best employ it to give you an advantage. Following this will be discussions on which payment systems are paving the way for success in Latin America. Last but by no means least the increasingly important Spanish sports betting market is on the agenda.

That evening sees the official iGB España party held in the world-renowned surroundings of Pacha nightclub, starting at 23:00. Look out for Bodog Becky and the Ayre Heads who will be covering the bash and trying to find the DAF for the evening.

If you’re up at all the next day, proceedings don’t start until around 11am when the bona-fide subject of mobile cash gaming is discussed, before yet more tips on how to get the most out of search engines, especially Google.

After the morning break attendees will be treated to a chat on player acquisition in South America linking to the next subject, what a Hispanic casino and bingo player is like.

The afternoon keynote will be on using Poker School as a business value proposition, which brings to almost the end of the two days. There’s still the chance for another party that evening but this time you will likely be all partied and conference-d out – ready for a few days in bed!
