EAG EXPO 2011 has everyone buzzing

Everyone’s talking about the 2011 European and Amusement Gaming Expo coming up on the 25-27 of January. In fact, everyone’s still talking about last year’s show which was such an enormous success.

Join the CalvinAyre tablog team at the beautiful ExCel London Exhibition Center and see for yourself what all the buzz is about at the 2011 EAG Expo.

One thing is for sure, the event organizers and BACTA chose one heck of a venue. Situated in a stunning waterfront location in the heart of London’s Royal Docks, the ExCel London, the international exhibition and conference centre, has a rich history of being the host venue for a wide variety of award winning exhibitions and conferences.

It’s no wonder why everyone’s talking about the 2011 EAG Expo as the show of all shows, here’s a few reasons why this event is billed to be a success right from the start:

  • Major International Show for the Coin Op and Amusement Industry
  • An international showcase for the leading industry names
  • Over 5000 trade visitors 40% of them from overseas
  • Presenting more than 130 companies
  • Showing more than 200 product lines
  • Supported by more than 70 international magazines
  • Collaborating with more than 10 industry trade associations
  • Promoted in more than 35 countries
  • Hosting more than 8 Industry Functions

The list of exhibiting companies you’ll have a chance to see at the Expo is massive. The current list of exhibiting companies offering new products and fresh ideas now totals 70 with representatives from 12 countries covering Europe, North and South America and Taiwan and China. The theme of EAG 2010 was to re create an event for the amusement industry, organized by the industry and by people who really understand the market and what it needs.  The amusement sector plays an important role in the UK market and needed a dedicated event to showcase its technology and innovation.

But this Expo is more than just business, after all we are gaming industry professionals and would a little work be without a lot of play? The world famous Canary Wharf is just 10 minutes from ExCel and offers visitors more than 200 shops, restaurants and bars. The O2 Arena is open 365 days-a-year until the early hours of the morning and is really close to ExCel London by taxi. ‘Entertainment Avenue’ at the O2 contains more than 20 restaurants and bars and a brand new world class nightclub, called Matter.
