Derek Tonin was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, and still misses the Expos. He’s since moved to the Philippines in search of adventure and cheap booze, and has not been disappointed. Since he couldn’t get a job as the Expos bat-boy, Derek worked in various customer service roles in the gambling industry for over a decade before he took to writing in 2018.
