Shipping and bottling billionaire Alki David issued a million dollar dare to anyone dumb enough to streak naked through President Obama’s rally held in front of thousands in Philadelphia. The only stipulation was that the streaker had to have The requirements of the prank required the streaker to be within eye-shot and ear shot of the president, and they have to scream the name “battlecam.com” six times while having the website written on their bare chest.
From early accounts, one man, Juan James Rodriguez was willing to subject himself to this shameless act and he apparently had a friend film it. It gives new meaning to term “shameless promotion” for Alki David, who is now known as the Prankster Billionaire. Certainly, he probably doesn’t care what he’s known as, so long as the word “billionaire” is added to the end of it.
The truth is, you can call the stunt and the promotion shameless, underhanded, low brow, you can call it what you want, but it worked. Battlecam.com is getting publicity, mission accomplished, plain and simple. What Alki David has realized is that people will do anything for money and the million dollars he may have to award his yuppies may be a small price to pay for global promotion.
