The FA and Nationwide are no longer listed as ‘In a Relationship’ on Facebook after the 11-year partnership was severed by the building society. Nationwide failed to renew the contract, which is estimated to be worth £5million-a-year to the FA, and it’s lucky there was no marriage as who knows how much the pre-nup would be worth. This comes amid the scandal over the Capello Index, and also the announcement by the FA that tickets for next month’s friendly with Hungary will be dropped due to poor sales.
