Issues around the latest changes in gaming technology, how these changes will impact the gaming industry, and how technology can improve operations, increase revenue and control costs were discussed at this year’s BIG Africa Summit organised by Eventus International Ltd. and held at the Indaba Hotel & Conference Centre, Fourways in South Africa, 4-6 November 2013.
The conference had a look at the subject of technological progress, trying to understand the rapid speed of change in gaming technology, its current impact and what is to come in the next five years and beyond.
This conference was a huge success and was attended by representatives from some of the leading gaming companies across the globe. Keynote presentations were delivered by Stuart Wing, COO, Sun International; Adv Temba Ngobese, CEO, Casino Association of South Africa and Mark Jakins, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, Peermont Hotel Casinos Resorts.
Yudi Soetjiptadi, Eventus International’s project director says there has been a tremendous growth in social gaming in Africa, gaming technology is at the forefront of development, while challenges and solutions will drive the industry into the future.
Says Soetjiptadi: “This conference was particularly important as it brought together industry players from all over the globe to address new challenges and solutions in all that has to do with payment processing and thoughts on new ways to connect with customers to nurture even more profitable relationships.”
