The final table of the 2012 PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) Grand Final kicks off in São Paulo, Brazil at noon today for the remaining eight competitors to battle it out for the title and the R$324,600 first-place prize.
Unlike last year when a substantial amount of finalists were Brazilian, the LAPT 2012’s final eight players all hail from different countries. Among them is Daniel Negreanu – the Team PokerStars Pro who yesterday became the first player to have made final tables on the EPT, APPT, and LAPT.
But there are of course another seven from around the world who want to take the title back to their people. Germany’s Daniele Nestola is best-situated to make that happen as he enters today’s final table contest with the chip lead.
Here’s the final table line-up:
Seat 1: Felipe Morbiducci (Chile) 347,000
Seat 2: Daniel Negreanu (Canada) 702,000
Seat 3: Jonathan Markovits (Ecuador) 991,000
Seat 4: Carlos Ibarra (Chile) 1,297,000
Seat 5: Daniele Nestola (Germany) 1,892,000
Seat 6: Juan Gonzalez (Argentina) 548,000
Seat 7: Gasperino Nicolas (Venezuela) 1,190,000
Seat 8: Vitor Torres (Brazil) 273,000
