Poker in the Park has announced its latest guest as Lucy Porter has been signed up as MC for the British Poker Awards. Porter will take to the festival’s new main stage this Saturday (3rd September) afternoon with the awards getting underway at 3pm. Voting is open to members of the public at this link to the website and competition will be feverish to say the least. Porter herself is one of the most sought after comedians around and has three sell-out tours under her belt. There’s a preview of what you can expect at the bottom of the page.
Poker in the Park itself is the continent’s largest poker festival and takes place in London’s Hanover Square this coming weekend. Anyone with even a passing interest will be a fool to miss out and if you miss any action, catch up with it right here on the tablog. Last year was a rousing success with poker domes playing host to more sit and gos than the average poker get-together. A video summary of last year can be seen here and we’ll see you at the weekend!
Over in France, poker site Sajoo.fr has reportedly put a stop to its affiliate program. An email sent to customers and seen by iGaming France suggests that as of 1st September the company will stop affiliate activities. It comes after the bwin.fr merged with the Amaury Group owned site last month and the move meant that there were strong rumors the affiliate program at Sajoo.fr would be abolished. This is all while the deal to sell the Ongame poker network is very much still on and bwin.party continues sees its woes continue.
