Sports betting firm partner with leading National Hunt jockey
Friday 11th October 2019 – Barry Geraghty, one of jump racing’s most successful jockeys of all time, will be sponsored by Sporting Index for the winter National Hunt season.
Geraghty will wear the Sporting Index logo on his breeches and collar, provide exclusive insight in a regular column on sportingindex.com and support with social media posts and daily previews during the season’s major meetings.
The 40-year-old Irishman’s achievements include winning the 2003 Grand National aboard Monty’s Pass and recording 38 Cheltenham Festival winners, second only to Ruby Walsh. He is also the retained rider for National Hunt racing’s most successful owner, J P McManus.
Sporting Index, who recently launched a fixed odds offering to run alongside their well-established spread betting service, were the first sponsors of the Cheltenham Festival’s Cross Country Chase, partnering the race from 2005-2007. Geraghty is the company’s first partnership with a jockey.
