Former MGM resorts executive Chris Nordling joins Vision Venture Partners as Chief Operating Officer

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., July 2017 — Vision Venture Partners (VVP), a private equity firm whose founders combine decades of business success and value creation from the high tech, video game, professional and lifestyle industries, announced the appointment of Chris Nordling as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. Nordling will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and strategic planning for each of VVP’s portfolio companies.

He served as CFO for Mirage Resorts and Bellagio as well as President of corporate entities for MGM Resorts and led a hotel casino and various operating divisions, which resulted in generating more than $2 billion in revenue and $500 million in profit.

From 2015 – 2017, Nordling increased growth of hotel room and MGM-owned retail store revenues by an average of 4.5 percent and 8 percent, respectively. He was a key leader on the CityCenter joint venture project which is the largest privately funded mixed-use development in the U.S. Prior to his two-decade tenure with MGM, he served as President for the Reno Flamingo Hilton.
