PokerStars Launch Online Casino Games in Italy

PokerStars Launch Online Casino Games in ItalyPokerStars continue their global roll out of online casino games with news of their introduction to the Italian market.

PokerStars has cut the red ribbon to allow their Italian based customers to play online casino games.

Roulette and Blackjack has been added to the PokerStars.it client. As has become the norm, a ‘Casino’ tab has been added to PokerStars online lobby. A shared wallet will be used, meaning money will not have to be transferred between casino and poker accounts.

A variety of different versions of the classic Blackjack have been made available. They include: Classic Blackjack, Atlantic City Blackjack, European Blackjack and Double Deck Blackjack.

“The launch of casino games on PokerStars allows players to enjoy the convenience of playing poker and casino in one place,” said Sam Hobcraft, Director of Casino for PokerStars and Full Tilt. “Our games are fun, safe and we are using our global experience to offer fun games for Italian players.”

The Italians follow the Spaniards and Brits, as Amaya Gaming Incorporated continue to turn their online poker room into an all-encompassing online casino.

The Spanish market was the first to host online casino games. That was back in Sep 2014, and they soon acquired double-digit market share in casino games.

PokerStars announced plans to add online casinos to their UK business back in November. Their very own Victoria Coren-Mitchell, who subsequently quit, over a values clash, greeted the news with distain. The PokerStars juggernaut continued onwards nonetheless. Online casino games were on offer by the turn of the year.

In March, PokerStars announced a new relationship with Live Dealer specialist Evolution Gaming. Soon dot-com, dot-eu, and dot-uk sites were staring at beautiful Latvian dealers whilst losing their money at the tables.

The news comes days after PokerStars unveiled their latest PokerStars LIVE cardroom in Italy. The new venue in Saint Vincent is already up and running, with PokerStars Team Pro, Luca Pagano, heavily involved in the transformation.
