In November, MGM CEO Jim Murren called myVEGAS an “extremely interesting customer acquisition tool.” In February, Murren backed up this claim with numbers, saying 80k of myVEGAS’ 2m Facebook fans had visited one of MGM’s Vegas casinos to redeem rewards. Last week, Playstudios announced that myVEGAS had achieved the most popular download ranking in the Casino Games category in three major app stores – iTunes for IOS, GooglePlay for Android and Amazon for Kindle Fire – for both phone and tablet devices.
Win, the social gaming offshoot of UK-listed online gambling operator Bwin.party digital entertainment, has announced the launch of a real-money version of its Teddy Pets social slot title. The game, which is part of Win’s Slots Craze app, will be rolled out in real-money form on Bwin.party gambling sites like Bwin.com and PartyCasino.com. Win says more Slots Craze titles will make the transition to real-money play in coming months.
California-based developers Gamzio Mobile, the folks behind Slots-O-Luck Adventure HD and Casino Island Adventure, have acquired social casino app Go-Go Casino, which currently boasts over 361k downloads and 147k likes on Facebook. But Gamzio claims the app has fallen into decline due to “a recent lack of upgrades and technology,” leading them to don their white cowboy hat and ride to the app’s rescue. Gamzio says the app is currently being reworked by its engineers, with a rollout of the redesigned product expected by July.
