London Poker Festival Starts This Weekend

london poker festival31 August 2012 (London, UK)- The long-awaited London Poker Festival commences this Saturday, 1st September with the Fox Super Saturday at the Fox Poker Club in Shaftesbury Avenue – a £250 freezeout event that kicks off at 2pm. Sunday welcomes the first comedy night of the festival, at the Casino at the Empire, with acclaimed comedian Alistair Barrie taking the mike.

The weekend heralds a month of packed poker events, with over £1m in prize money throughout the month of September and over 50 events in all. The London Poker Festival takes in major tournaments, such as the English Poker Open, the GUKPT, the Unibet Open and the LCI UK Poker Tour, as well as smaller tournaments and cash games to suit all pockets, parties, comedy nights a training academy and the British Poker Awards.

“All in all, the London Poker Festival is a celebration of London’s vibrant poker community, with something for everyone, so get involved!,” said festival organiser Michael Caselli.
