Only a day after announcing it is to provide solutions to SIGA, a press release by the company today states the new systems will replace 100% of a competitor’s systems technology with an array of Bally Technologies systems products.

Marina del Sol President, Nicolas Imschenetzky Ebensperger, said: “Our decision was motivated by clear and strategic principles. We want to know our guests in the best way possible; get accurate, fast, and timely information; increase interaction with guests; and offer innovative promotions and more opportunities to win. Gaming test labs, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), is embarking on an initiative to add 100 highly qualified testing personnel over the next 180 days, the company announced today. The additional staff will push GLI’s global employee count to 750 working in the company’s 20 lab locations thus giving the firm at least four times the capacity and ability of any other lab.

GLI Vice President, Paul Magno, said: “We have one goal: to ensure that each of the 455 regulators around the globe who use GLI, and the 130 regulated markets who rely on GLI exclusively, will have more than enough testing resources to speed the time to market for products and new technology initiatives destined for their markets.”

The new engineers and support staff will be placed mostly in GLI’s laboratories in Nevada and Colorado to provide further support to the State of Nevada for private testing as that becomes a reality in the second quarter of this year. GLI’s Barcelona lab will also see an increase in engineering staff.

After changing top management a week back, automated transactions solutions provider, JCM Global, have partnered again with The Cordish Company after winning a major contract to install its iVIZION bill validator on more than 4,750 slot machines and electronic table games at the new Maryland Live! Casino. The new partnership, this time, has seen Cordish choosing JCM’s PayCheck  thermal printer for its gaming devices.

President and General Manager, Maryland Live! Casino, Robert J. Norton, said: “The PayCheck 4 printer is the perfect partner to iVIZION – fast, smart and long-lasting. We look forward to our continued partnership with JCM as we move towards our grand opening in Summer 2012.”

JCM says its PayCheck 4 system has the most standard memory of any type printer, giving operators more power and flexibility to communicate directly with their customers.
