PokerStars appoints new marketing officer; Neogames enhances mobile offering

New CMO at PokerstarsPokerStars has completed their eight-month international quest in search for new blood bringing back with them a new Chief Marketing Officer. Alex Payne joins the firm from Microsoft, where he spent 11 years, and will lead all central and regional marketing organizations at the firm in the new role that will be based on the Isle of Man.

“I’m delighted to be joining PokerStars,” Payne said. “I am joining an outstanding business, which is the clear leader in its category and has enormous potential ahead of it. Moreover, it’s a product in which I have a huge personal passion.”

One of the new fella’s first responsibilities will be for the firm’s brand and advertising on a worldwide basis. This extends to all facets of the business including media buying and TV programming productions. In terms of online gambling industry marketing, he’ll be responsible for paid and organic search, social media, customer relationship management and acquisition, and also conversion and retention campaign for both online and live poker players. There’s more than enough there for you to get your teeth stuck into Mr Payne.

Online instant win scratch card specialists Neogames have enhanced their mobile gambling industry offering with the launch of a new HTML5 application. The web-based application will mean that users of smart phones on the popular Android and Apple iOS platforms will be able to play the firms scratch and instant games. Neogames mobile platform has been around for a year and has been successful in delivering premium content on over 150 different devices.
