When you talk about poker playing enigma’s, there can be many that come to mind. THE prodigy himself was still identity-less this time last year and the poker news columns were a-buzzing. Isildur1 lead a charmed life in the online game. Upon a deal he signed with PokerStars that all changed. He was unmasked as Viktor Blom and ever since his stock has continued to rise. There’s still been the distinct lack of an English interview with Isildur1 – until now.
Bluff Europe magazine managed to catch Isildur1 without his mask on for enough time to grab a few words and it’s also available via their iPad app.
Phillip Conneller, editor of Bluff Europe, commented, “Viktor is now a proud member of Team PokerStars and, although still notoriously publicity shy, is beginning to emerge from the shadows.
“However, when Isildur1 first appeared a couple of years ago, he turned online poker on its head and it truly was an epic couple of months. At the time, we still didn’t know precisely who Isildur was, yet were desperate to talk to him and put him on the cover, so it’s very exciting that we’ve finally got him.”
Blom is joined by fellow Team PokerStars pros Live Boeree, ElkY, Sandra Naujoks and Dario Minieri in August’s edition of the magazine. To get hold of the iPad version, just type Bluff Europe into the iTunes store. Simples.
PokerStars has also launched a new “poker clock” iPhone App. It means that UK residents will be able to perosnalize their home games with a time when blind levels go up. It’s available through the App store along with the earlier Bluff Europe app. For more poker, read Tatjana Pasalic’s WSOP diary right here!
