If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re playing against a hot girl at online poker then 888poker’s new Pokercam Tables will be what you’ve been waiting for.
As part of their “We Play Different” strategy, the tables will allow players to play face to face via webcams, giving you the real home game experience.
Hill Shakked, Head of Poker, 888Holdings said: “Players can look forward to enjoying a completely new and different poker experience, by simply downloading the new 888poker software on a computer with a standard webcam. Now the greater challenge will be how to conceal the big smile when you get pocket aces!”
This is while Shakked is praying that it doesn’t just turn into chat roulette for poker playing voyeurs.
The European Poker Tour (EPT) has become the latest to emigrate, this season’s finale taking place in Madrid from May 7-12.
After the WSOPE confirmed a move from London to Nice, the PokerStars sponsored tour is upping sticks from Monte Carlo in favor of the Casino Gran Madrid in the Spanish capital.
“We wanted somewhere new, dynamic and inspiring, and knew that Madrid would tick all the boxes for the travelling poker player, regardless of age or desires,” said EPT chief executive John Duthie.
According to the post on PokerStars Poker Blog, the city of Madrid could be in line for around €10m in revenues for agreeing to host the tournament. The latest event to come to a conclusion, EPT Deauville, was won by Frenchman Lucien Cohen and PokerStars made the announcement amidst the current Copenhagen leg of Season 7 of the tour.
