Times change, but some people just can’t seem to get their heads out of their aces. The 2011 Republican online gambling rhetoric is eerily similar to the 2010 nonsensical Republican rhetoric, especially as far as Bachus is concerned. With Bachus as the Chair of the house Financial Services Committee, he’s likely to try and screw over any bill that even whispers online gambling.
But in the horizon, there’s a glimmer of hope. The noise happening at the state level, and New Jersey and California are leading the charge. Let’s hope California doesn’t get too distracted on issues about pot. As for New Jersey, they’re moving forward, they’re getting ready to vote, and there’s not a damn thing the federal government can do about it.
Washington State is still using their ban on online gambling as money grab as they’ve been quietly pillaging the coffers payment processors and gaming accounts over the course of the past two months, making Washington State officially, Hell on Earth for online poker players.
