Interwetten promotes new CEO and enters B2B

There’s major changes going on with Austrian bookmaker Interwetten including the promotion of a new CEO and a decision to expand operations to launch a business-to-business division. Though these changes are in effect a restructuring of business operations the changes aren’t expected to affect clients of the Austrian online gaming operator.

As part of the company’s strategic realignment, Interwetten has promoted former CFO Rita Landauer to CEO while founder Wolfgang Fabian will take a back seat in the company’s operations with Landauer at the helm. Fabian steps back after holding the reigns for the past 20 years. Fabian was complimentary of Landauer, saying “Over the last 12 months we have worked together to create the structure for this step and prepare the systematic handover. I firmly believe that the company is well-positioned and ideally equipped for many further years of success under the leadership of Ms. Landauer. I wish her all the best in her new role.”

From an operations standpoint, the company has launched a B2B division with its sports betting software and other services now under the name of Sportsbook Software AG. The Interwetten Group now also offers its services to B2B customers. The sports betting software, which has been developed in-house over several years will be offered to business customers as a white label service.
