There’s been lots of cheering from gamblers ever since the House Financial Services Committee approved the Barney Frank-sponsored online gambling bill. The folks at PokerStars are also cheering, despite an amendment to the bill that would disqualify participation from sites that continued to take American customers post-UIGEA, like, er, PokerStars. However, PokerStars’ lawyers don’t think that specific wording applies in their case.
