Guardian writer Victoria Cohen was friends with Ron Fanelli when he was doing the rounds on the London poker circuit. He was a larger than life character who went by the moniker, the Mad Yank. Beats ‘Fanny Boy’, I suppose. Turns out he was pretty mad, though; so mad he killed a Thai girl and chopped up her body.
