It only seems like yesterday that the World Cup finished, and we’re already thinking about the hosting rights for 2018. Of the countries in the running, England have been installed at 5/4 favourites by Paddy Power to host the tournament in eight summers time. The decision will be made at the end of the year, but knowing England as I do there’s enough time for at least two to three full-scale scandals before then, not forgetting to factor in a nice dollop of hooliganism.
