After a triple threat match between the three remaining bidders for the Aqueduct gaming contract one group is left standing, Genting New York. A unit of the company who run Malaysia’s only casino, they will have to pay a $300million up-front licensing fee which will see them as the only company allowed to operate any type of gaming within New York City’s limits. Couldn’t more states do with a $300million licensing fee though?
