The state of Indiana has come slightly out of left-field by introducing a new law that will require casinos to withhold gambling winnings from deadbeat parents. The idea is that if a winner is behind on child support they will be picked up by a tracking system and denied their cashout. I’m not quite sure why casinos should be taking the moral high-ground in personal matters, but I suppose it’s another example of how gambling can give back.
