With the future of the EPT High Roller Grand Final up in the air there were extra kudos points up for grabs at the close of the sixth series in Monte Carlo. And they all went to Tobias Reinkemeier – along with the small matter of €956,000. The German pro’s decision to splash out €25,000 to enter the event has paid off big style – and now Reinkemeier has just enough spare cash to cover an extra night at the Casino de Monaco and perhaps even production costs of another remake of his 1985 classic Axel F. He’s even giving 2% of his winnings to children’s charities. Seems far too generous and self-effacing to be German. See here.
