Halifax has shelved a report on the social costs of problem gambling and are refusing to make the results public because quite simply, the results didn’t make cents sense. Now of course there’s always money to be made from gambling revenue and a detrimental report could fuel opponents, but if such a report exists, it should at least be legitimate. It’s a refreshing change away from the countless incoherent, weak correlating studies out there that are published so readily. It’s about time someone took a stand. Read more.
