Income tax officers investigating the Indian Premier League (IPL) for alleged financial irregularities in its bidding process, are analysing evidence suggesting some senior members of the league placed bets on the results of the matches with UK betting websites. Reports have also been denied that an alleged ‘mystery woman’ removed important papers and computers from the IPL’s office at the Four Seasons Hotel in a bid to conceal the league’s dealings.
