Poker replacing chess for academics studying strategy

ChessVpokerIt used to be that academics used chess as both a metaphor and a teaching aid when approaching such seemingly diverse subjects as politics, warfare and big business. But now some 20 universities across the United States are part of the Global Poker Strategic Thinking Society, an organization co-founded in 2006 by Harvard Law School professor Charles Nesson, whose expressed goal is to promote the use of poker as an academic teaching tool.
