A bill has recently been approved in the Senate that would allow Michigan school districts to collect funds from casinos that could be used to finance scholarships for students attempting to go to institutions of higher education. No wonder they are pushing to open more casinos – quite right too. Thing is, why should the Indian tribes get all the credit? If online casinos were legalized Michigan could receive far more money for the state’s education system than either bricks and mortar casinos or state-operated lotteries.
