Nevada’s Gaming Control Board is examining the contractual relationships between land-based casinos and the non-gambling branches of their online counterparts. No longer seeing the distinction between the online poker rooms’ dot-com and dot-net divisions, the board may implement further restrictions on online poker outfits sponsoring live poker events. In other words, now that online poker has dramatically boosted the game’s popularity and helped steer players into Nevada’s live table rooms, their assistance is no longer needed.
