Treasury Department nominees are being blocked by Arizona Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl until the government enforces new internet gambling prohibitions. The prohibitions were issued by the Bush administration in 2008 and were to be implemented as of December 1st, 2009. However, until the current government enforces the laws, Kyl is blocking all nominees with tax policy and international finance jurisdiction.
