Nevada has recently passed a law allowing smoking in some trade shows and the Cancer Society of Nevada is pissed. Apparently the new law was tacked onto a statute that made stalking and text messaging a crime. The Cancer Society argues that this amendment to the Clean Indoor Air act should not have been paired with an act that deals with stalking. They’ve already filed a complaint stating as much with the state court in Carson City. As Nevada still allows smoking in their casinos, they do have a bit of a target on their back and I could see this turning into a much bigger issue. Read more…
