ARJEL approves JOA, On-Mobi launches poker planner app

JOAONLINEThe French online gaming regulatory body ARJEL has awarded Joagroup’s online subsidiary Joaonline with approval to operate online horse race betting and online fixed odds sports betting.

The company’s online horserace betting licence on the domains joaclub.fr, joa-club.fr and joaonline.fr carries the stipulation that the company may not offer skill games on the horse racing betting site.

The approval follows a deal between Joaonline and France-Pari which will see Joaonline’s existing sports betting offering expand to include fixed odds and live betting in September 2011.

Meanwhile, looking to take advantage of the growing demand for online gambling apps, Mobile app developer On-Mobi has launched a new app which alerts poker players as to when their favourite tournament is about to begin.

Additionally, the new app features schedules for tournaments at sites including: Pokerstars, PartyPoker and 888Poker. The app can be customised to weed out poker sites where the user does not have an account.
It’s basically like poker alarm clock that fits in your pocket letting you know when it’s time to get your gamble on or get your ass kicked at the poker tables.

The new app entitled “Poker Planner” is now free for iPhone users to download from the Apple app store.
